Tour Introduction

The Battle of the Bulge was one of the largest single battles of World War 2 in the West. In December 1944, the Germans launched a final offensive among the trees of the Ardennes Forest against the Americans. Join us for the anniversary weekend of the battle, to attend the major re-enactment event at Manhay, as well as visiting key battlefield sites.

Local departure by coach, then to our hotel in Belgium for a three-night stay.

Dec 12 &13 - Re-enactments & the Battlefields

Over the next two days, we will attend the re-enactment events at Manhay, which include static displays of re-enactment groups, equipment and vehicles, along with parades of military vehicles and tanks. There will also be battle re-enactments.

The superb Manhay 44 Museum will be open, and there is an original Panther Tank, now a memorial, on site. As part of the weekend here, there will also be a militaria fair where you can buy original WW2 memorabilia. These events will take place over both days of the weekend.

In addition, when not at Manhay, we will visit some key battlefield sites in the area, including Bois Jacques and Foy, where Easy Company, the ‘Band of Brothers’, fought as well as Bastogne. We will also look at La Gleize to see an original King Tiger Tank.

Join your tour coach at the interchange.

On most tours if you’d prefer to join your tour coach at Stop 24 services, you can park your car in the car park which is accredited by the Park Mark safer parking scheme and is monitored 24 hours a day by CCTV. Payment for the parking is made on arrival using the self-service machines.
