Tour Introduction

Operation Jubilee occurred in August 1942, during World War 2, when British Commandos, Canadian troops and American Rangers attempted to make a major assault at Dieppe, on the French coast. On this tour, we commemorate the 75th anniversary of this tragic battle, which ended in huge loss of life, especially for the Canadian troops. We also spend time exploring the area and the sites where the battles took place. We see where the Commandos and Rangers came ashore and the bunker sites they attacked. We also visit the Canadian beaches and spend time remembering the fallen at the Dieppe War Cemetery.
