Arnhem 75th Anniversary

About the tour: Arnhem 75th Anniversary

Tour Introduction

Operation Market Garden was General Bernard Montgomery’s plan to try and end the war by Christmas with a bold advance from Belgium into Holland with ground forces, and airborne troops from America, Britain and Poland being dropped to take and hold the key bridges en-route. The furthest bridge at Arnhem was captured by the Airborne, but ground troops never made it there: it became forever a Bridge Too Far. For the 75th anniversary, join us as we travel to Holland, visiting key sites of the battle, attending special anniversary events in the region.
